Death of B. Henderson of Rodney
October 6, 1858 – 27 March 1903

Last Friday a prominent business man of Rodney lost his life at that place. He was assisting his brother-in-law F.D. Edgar move to the Tomlison farm just out of town, and had a load of household goods ready to start, when the horses became frightened at something and began running. One of the lines fell to the ground and Mr. Henderson was unable to stop the team. He was thrown violently from the striking his head against a tree or telephone pole and killing him almost instantly.

Mr. Henderson had been a resident of Rodney a good many years and was a leading business man there. For several years B. W. Henderson was associated with F.D. Cleveland in the Hornick Hardware Co., they dissolving business relations something over a year ago. He was about 45 years of age, and leaves a wife, 4 sons, 2 daughters and an aged mother. Mr. Henderson was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge.

His funeral was held last Sunday. About ten members of the Hornick lodge of Odd Fellows attended the funeral.
