Yvonne Parks-Sick, 87, of Onawa, Iowa passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Burns, officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Yvonne Maxine was born on September 17, 1928 in Onawa, Iowa the daughter of Clay and Mable Farber. She attended and graduated from Mapleton High School.

Yvonne and Benton Parks were united in marriage on February 8, 1945. Two sons were born to this union, David and Dan. Benton preceded her in death on May 7, 1994. Yvonne and Ernest Sick were united in marriage in January of 1996. Ernest preceded her in death on November 9, 2009.

Yvonne was employed at Sees Candy in California. She owned and operated the Corner Cafe in Onawa, Iowa. She was also employed by the Iowa Theatre in Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include her son, Dan Parks and his wife Susan of Chino Hills, CA; five grandchildren, Kristian, Ryan, Michael, Samantha, and Daniel; two great-grandchildren, Violet and Charlotte; two brothers, Bernard Farber and his wife Phyllis and Howard Farber and his wife Donna both of Onawa, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Benton Parks and Ernest Sick; and her son, David.
