Robert E. Bueoy, 91, of Mapleton, Iowa formerly of Smithland, Iowa passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Karen Handke, officiating. Burial will be in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Robert Everett was born on April 25, 1925 in rural Mapleton, Iowa, the son of Omer and Dora (Ham) Bueoy. He attended country school at Mapleton thru the eighth grade.

Robert and Margaret Worrell were united in marriage on January 13, 1946 at Mapleton, IA. Three children were born to this union, Elizabeth, John, and Todd. Margaret preceded him in death on November 26, 2004.

He had various occupations throughout his life, farmer, trucker, welder, foreman at John Morrell for 7 1/2 years, and by Woodbury County Parks as a Park Ranger and maintenance at Southwood Conservation Area for 12 years.

He was baptized in the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his three children, Elizabeth Jensen of Sioux City, IA, John (Linda) Bueoy of Smithland, IA, and Todd Bueoy of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evone Farber of South Sioux City, NE, and Barbara Bumstead of Mapleton, Iowa; and many nieces & nephews, cousins, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; one grandson, Shane Bueoy; son-in-law, Louis Jensen; two brothers, Paul Bueoy in infancy and Rolland Bueoy; and four sisters, Maureta Yockey, Helen Bumstead, Genevieve Moore, and Margie Farber.
