Voyle E. “Fye” Fyock, 76, 2908 S. Coral, owner of Hawkeye Tackle Co., died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur K. Beumler, pastor of Morningside Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Fyock was born May 18, 1910, in Storm Lake. He moved to Onawa when he was five years old and graduated from Onawa High School in 1929. He married Marjorie Hatt on March 28, 1937, in Onawa. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1942. He was a supervisor for Swift and Co., until retiring in 1968 after 25 years with the company. He was owner of Hawkeye Tackle Co.

He was a member of the Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Jack, of Sioux City; one brother, Dean, and one sister, Helen Fyock both of Whitby Island, Washington and two grandchildren.
