Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 2, 1986, at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Valley View Lawn, for Lloyd Sarff, 73, who died March 31 in Bakersfield, California. Rev. E.F. “Bud” Frye officiated.

Lloyd was born April 7, 1912 in Whiting, Iowa and had lived in Kern County for numerous years where he enjoyed bowling and was the General Plant Manager of 22 years for X-L Industries. He had served in the U.S. Navy for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Iva; daughters, Barbara Sarff and Linda Garcia all of Bakersfield; one sister, Ione and her husband, Willard Cummings of Oakhurst, California and one granddaughter, Mendy Garcia of Bakersfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials to be sent to the Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens, 2240 So. Union Ave. Hillcrest Mortuary Funeral Directors.
