Page Edward Eskelsen, 65, of Moorhead, died Monday, March 31, 1986, in Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa following a heart attack at his home.

He was born near Moorhead on December 26, 1920, the son of Edward and Marie (Burton) Eskelsen. He graduated from Blencoe High School in 1938. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. ON October 4, 1945, he married Nola Johnson in Moorhead. The couple made their home on a farm near Moorhead and he retired from farming in 1984.

He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead where he was baptized, confirmed and married, and he was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Nola, at home, two sons, Craig and his wife, Lois of Blencoe and Joel and his wife, Joyce of Big Piney, Wyo., his mother, Mary Fredrickson of Onawa, two sisters, Charlotte Kroeger of Adel, Iowa and Ardis Seitzinger of Onawa, three step-sisters, Ada Nuzum of Pisgah and Leone Mann and Shirley McWilliams, both of Moorhead, five granddaughters, and a grandson and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 1986, at Bethesda Lutheran Church at Moorhead with Rev. Paul Birkedal officiating. Mrs. Daryle Lauritsen, the organist, accompanied Steven Johnson in the selection “Our Father Has Light In His Window.” The congregation sang “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.”

Bearers were Mark Seitzinger, Timothy Seitinger, Todd Seitzinger, Scot Kroeger, Jerry Hansen and Kevin Johnson.

Interment was in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead with Military Graveside Services by Peter A. Hansen American Legion Post No. 365, Loyle Kratz, Commander.

Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
