Connie (McNutt) Christiansen, 69, of Papillion, Nebraska and formerly of Audubon and Castana, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her home in Papillion. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa. Pastor Andrew Burnett and Pastor Josh Beckner will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Connie (McNutt) Christiansen was born April 2, 1947, at home in Castana, Iowa, the only child of Darrel and Edelene (Claus) McNutt. She was raised in the Castana area and went to school in Castana through the 9th grade. She then went to school in Onawa, Iowa and graduated with West Monona High School with the class of 1965. After high school, she went to Omaha, Nebraska to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a long distance operator.

She married Ron B. Christiansen August 18, 1984. They enjoyed traveling, visiting and playing cards with friends. Connie enjoyed quilting, their animals and the wildlife around their farm. Maggie, their dog, was a special companion to them both. Ron passed away January 3, 2015.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children and grandchildren, Ronda Arnold and her husband, Mike, of Paynesville Minnesota and their children, Nathan, Heather, and Jake Arnold, Jeff Hasbrouck and his wife, Jo, of Audubon Iowa and their son, Jake Christensen of Washington D.C, Brian Christiansen and his wife, Jess of Omaha, Nebraska and their children Lexis, Maddy, Livy, Erin and Chelsea Christiansen, and Jason Hasbrouck of Seattle Washington; and Uncle Wallace Parker of Sloan Iowa and son Jim Parker, along with numerous cousins; special friends Jack and Kathy Krier of Warsaw, Missouri and Rose Ridgeway of Bellevue, Nebraska; along with many other friends;and her constant companion. Maggie.

Along with her husband, Ron, Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
