Gary Dean Allen, 55, of Rodney, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Dennis Burns, officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Gary Dean was born March 29, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Jimmy and Bonnie (Karr) Allen. He served in the United States Army.
Gary worked as a welder, farmer, and most recently in production at Precision Soya, Whiting, Iowa. He enjoyed being in the outdoors where he especially liked fishing, hunting, and attending demo derbies. In the last few years Gary enjoyed training his dog, "Cooper".

He is survived by his daughter Kristi (Aaron) Gotto of Mapleton, Iowa; one granddaughter, Madison Gotto of Mapleton, Iowa; one brother, Bryan (Shauna Bauge) Allen of Le Mars, Iowa; two nephews, Shawn Allen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Steven (Brandy) Allen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one niece, Samantha Allen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one great-niece, Mia Allen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a special friend, Lisa Campbell of Rodney, Iowa and her daughter, Demi (Eric Mesenbrink) Campbell of Sioux City, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Bonnie (Karr) Allen.
