SOLDIER MOTHER BURIED SUNDAY

Services were held for Mrs. John Ingvolstad of Soldier Iowa, last Sunday afternoon, with a short service at the home at 1:30 p. m. and at the country church at 2:00 p. m. The Rev. O. B. Anderson of Onawa officiating. Mrs. Ingvolstad has not been well for 12 years. The last week she had two strokes, the last stroke coming Thursday evening which led to her death Friday morning.

Mrs. John Ingvolstad (nee Anna Carolina Olson) was born in Sonder Aurdal, Norway, March 7, 1868. She went to sleep in the Lord Friday morning, November 18th, being 64 years, 8 months, and 11 days at the time of her death. She came to this country in 1892 and made her home in Soldier. In 1894 she was united in marriage to John Ingvolstad They made their home on a farm near Soldier where they were happy and where Mrs. Ingvolstad desired to spend her remaining days.

To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. George Faltinson of Elk Point, Wisconsin, who together with the husband mourn her departure. There are eight grandchildren, and one brother, Knute Olson living in Soldier, who also mourn her death.

Mrs. Ingvolstad was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and remained faithful to this faith. The Rev J. P. Reinertsen of Onawa assisted Rev. Anderson in the services by bringing a brief message in the Norwegian language and also singing a Norwegian song at the home, The Soldier Choir sang four numbers at the church two of them in the Norwegian language.
