Died Julson Wednesday morning 3Jan1900 at 2 o'clock AM, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Julson, aged 38 years, 2 months, and 26 days. Sarah Elizabeth Jordan was born 7Oct1861 in Blue Earth County MN. A year later the family moved to Benton County IA. At 11 years of age her parents had both died and she grew to womanhood in the family of an older sister. In 1885 she came to Monona County and in that year was married to Mr. Julius E. Julson who died in Jun1898 after an illness of several years. Mrs. Julson had herself been an invalid during nearly all the years of her married life. Shortly before her husband's death he requested her to use his life insurance money $2000, in employing every effort and means to recover her health and lately she was telling some of her intimate friends that she had earnestly striven to do so, but that it could not be, and that the end could not be far distant. At the last she passed peacefully away. Though not a professor of religion she attended the Christian church and in life was a most agreeable person with large numbers of friends who feel keenly the sadness of her life and death. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church at 2 o'clock Friday 5Jan1900, J.E. Denton pastor, and her remains will be in the little lot beside those of her husband in the Onawa Cemetery.
