8 September 1932Joe Turnipseed Funeral Today
The funeral of Joe Turnipseed who passed away at the Iowa City general hospital Tuesday of tuberculosis following a long illness, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the home in Onawa, the Brown funeral home will be in charge of arrangements and Rev. Thos. Batho will preach the funeral sermon.
Mr. Turnipseed is survived by his widow and seven children the oldest of whom is seventeen and the youngest about six months of age. Mrs. Turnipseed is critically ill at the Iowa City hospital; she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Whitlock of Berea, Nebr. who are at her bedside.
