ONAWA, Iowa - Dorotha Faye Clayton Butcher, 93, of Onawa died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald Ludwick of First Christian Church of Onawa officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visit ation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Butcher was born July 26, 1906, in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of James M. and Ella M. (Skinner) Voiles.

She married Daniel C. Clayton in 1926. She married Alfred Butcher on Dec. 24, 1955, in Onawa. He died Jan. 9, 1972, in Onawa.

She was employed with various cafes and did laundry and housekeeping.

She was a member of First Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Lyle C. and Roberta Clayton of Battle Creek, Iowa; a daughter and her husband, Elsie G. and Russell Cummins of Onawa; two daughters-in-law, Elsie Clayton Wagner of Moorhead, Iowa, and Suzy Clayton of Roswell, N.M.; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a niece.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Edward G., Dwight L. and Lynn C.; a daughter, Norma Jean; a sister, Mary M. Greenleaf; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kevin and Josh Clayton, Russ Jr., Ervin and Bobby Cummins and Brent Christiansen.
