4 January 1968Nettie Quigley was born January 5, 1893 at Turin, the daughter of Charles and Anna Durr. December 20, 1967 she passed from this life at the age of 74 years, 11 months, 15 days.
Nettie had been a lifelong resident of the Turin community. August 1, 1916 she was united in marriage with George Quigley at Dakota City, Neb. Nettie was a member of the Methodist Church in Turin and had been an active member, taking part: in many church functions, including Sunday School.
Survivors include her husband, George of Turin; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth McClure (Susan) of Turin and Mrs. Bud Nelson (Ethel Jane) of Turin; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles Durr of Onawa and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Oldis of Luton, along with other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 1 p. m. Saturday, December 23, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Turin. Rey. Thomas A. Sears officiated. Mrs. Orland Ferris sang "Sweetly Resting" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", accompanied by Mrs. Oliver Kelley at the organ.
Pallbearers were Glen Martindale, Richard Madsen Jr., Darrell Madsen, Nels Hanson, Raymond Kline and Herald Fredrickson.
Interment was at the Belvidere cemetery at Turin. Arrangements were by the Pearson funeral Home of Onawa.
