ONAWA, Iowa — Michael Wayne Wilder, 42, of Onawa died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Donald R. L Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mr. Wilder was born May 11, 1957, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of James O. and Lillian (Gray) Wilder. He attended school in Onawa.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was employed with State Steel in Sioux City as a shear operator.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; three daughters, Amanda Weber of Sioux City, Bridgett Colleen Huber of North Carolina and Roseanna of California; three brothers, Ronald and his wife, Norma, of Onawa, David of Salix, Iowa, and Jimmy of Carson City, Nev.; five sisters, Eva and her husband, Lynn Parr, of Danbury, Iowa, Connie Wilder and Rocky Brooks of Tipton, Iowa, Betty and her husband, Jimmy Kellogg, and Vivian and her husband, Jeff Vader, all of Decatur, Neb., and Linda Fernandez of Sioux City; his stepfather, John L. Orr of McClelland, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
