Lulu May Teel 1886 - 1967

Lulu May Teel was born on April 15, 1886 at Verdella, Mo. and passed from this life in the Burgess Memorial hospital in Onawa on April 15 at the age of 81 years. Death came as the result of a heart attack.

Lulu taught school in the Pittsburg and in the Seldon, Kan. communities for several years. In 1937 she moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. and for the past eight years had made her home in Onawa.

May 16, 1925 she was united in marriage to Dr. D. M. Forbes at Seldon, Kan. Dr. Forbes preceded her in death July 30,1942.

September 24, 1946, Lulu, was united in marriage to Len Teel at Burlington, Colo. He preceded her in death December 21, 1955.

She was a member of the Congregational Church in Onawa, where she attended regularly.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Helen Jo) Teel of Hornick and three grandchildren, Linda, Gary and David Teel. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday, April 18 in the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Frank Perry officiating. Mrs. Willie Jensen sang "Ivory Palaces" and "Beyond the Sunset" with Mrs. Oliver Kelley as organist.

Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery at Colorado Springs, Colo. at 2 p. m. Wednesday, April 19.

Arrangements were by the Pearson funeral home in Onawa and the Swan funeral home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
