UTE - James "Peter" Larson was born at Harlan, Iowa, March 11, 1886. He was the son of Peter Larson and Julia Christensen. He died at Omaha, Neb., June 1, 1954, at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 20 days.
The family moved to Ute in 1895 and he spent his earlier life in the vicinity of Ute, then moving to Omaha.
His first wife was Bessie Belle Dorothy. They had three children: Mrs. Dorothy Martin Kelm of Sioux Falls, S. D., two sons, Harvey of Ute and Vernon of Onawa. They survive.
His second wife Ruth Phillips survives along with four stepchildren, Mrs. Lorraine Ventura of Kansas City, Mrs. Lucille Wilkinson, Layfete, Ind., Robert Phillips and Raymnd Phillips of Omaha, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Kottman of So. St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Conrad Galster of Ute and Mrs Joe Baker of Minneapolis, Minn.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist church in Ute. Burial was in St. Clair cemetery at Ute.
