Ronald William Jones, 67, of Onawa, Iowa, died May 14, 2005, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

He was born December 8, 1937, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of David E. and Mable (Lang) Jones. He graduated from Onawa High School in 1956. He married Eva Copeland in Omaha, Nebraska. She died in 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Navy from June 17, 1956 to June 16, 1960. He was a mechanic in Phoenix, Arizona and Omaha, Nebraska, until retiring in 1991.

Survivors include his mother, Mable Cartwright of Onawa; 4 daughters and their husbands: Charmaine and Randy Todalen, Robin and Randy Emchoff, Carmen and Steve Mackey and Cherie and Christopher Bennett, all of Omaha; 1 son and wife, Edward and Elinea Copeland of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Clarence Jones of Maryville, Missouri; and a sister, Betty Jean McCloud of Lewisburg, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Jones; his wife, Eva; a brother, Leo Jones; and a sister, Rosalie Mass.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Dennis Olsen officiating. The organist was Mrs. Jack Jordan and the organ selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "Rock of Ages".

The Honorary Bearer was Marvin Calkins. The Casket Bearers were Dwight Koster, Clarence Larry Jones, Jeff Mass, Jeremy Mahon, Bill Ballard, and Timothy Corn.

Interment was in Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa, with Military Graveside Rites by the U.S. Naval Reserve, Sioux City, Iowa.

Arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
