BLANCHE HOWARD

Blanche M. Howard, age 82, of Little Sioux, Iowa passed away Friday afternoon, July 31, 1987 in the Westmont Care Center in Logan. Blanche was born on May 1, 1905 in Bentley, Alberta, Canada to Thomas and Martha (Nelson) Carritt. Blanche was a school teacher in Little Sioux For several years then she taught at Tri-Center for a number of years before she retired.

Blanche is survived by two sons, Everett Howard of Davenport, Iowa and Thomas Howard of Metairie, La.; one daughter, Deloris Burcham of Washington, Iowa; four brothers, Joe Carritt of Ute, Iowa, Thomas Carritt and Kenneth Carritt, both of Little Sioux, Iowa and Harold Carritt of Fremont, Neb.; twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Howard; one daughter, Georgieana Morrow; and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 1987 at the Mondamin R.L.D.S. Church with Elder Thomas Carritt officiating. Interment was in the Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux, Iowa with arrangements by Hennessey-VanCleave-Hurley Funeral Home, Missouri Valley.
