DR. GLENN V. HIGGINS

Dr. Glenn V. Higgins, 4515 Graham Road, Harlingen, Texas, died at the age of 61, April 27, 1987, of cancer.

Services were held at Ankeny Funeral Home in Ankeny, Iowa on May 1, 1987. Burial was in Ankeny Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Dr. Higgins was born on May 5, 1925 at Castana, Iowa to Barnard and Hulda Higgins. He retired in 1984 after practicing optometry in Ankeny for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 636, Ankeny Lions Club, a past president of Ankeny Chamber of Commerce and Ankeny Golf and Country Club. He was a U. A. Air Force Veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; son, Steven of Kalispeel, Mont.; a daughter Mrs. Mark (Robin) Allen of Clive, Iowa; a brother, Leo of San Diego, Calif.; two grandsons.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Lewis Hadden, Wes Bond, Bob Lawson, Bill Marion, Ralph Nicholson and Bud Pratt.
