At the home of his son-in law Mr Thos. O’Connor living one mile east of town. Mr George Zediker quietly passed away last Saturday evening at 7 o'clock The old gentleman has been oorly for the past four years and for two years has been confined to his bed a greater part of the time. This spring realizing that he had but a few mouths to live he disposed of his property and
since has been living with Mr O’Connor.

Mr Zediker came to this place from Jackson county about twelve years ago, and during his residence in this vicinity he has gained the friendship of a large number of citizens He has raised a family of six children, five of whom reside in Cooper township, and were with their father at the last moment.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church by Rev K. S. Johnson, and th e remains were followed to Heisler cemetery by a long procession of friends of this kind old gentlemen
