Catherine Valeria Williams, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Wilson Williams, was born on January 5,1873,in Harrison county near Woodbine,Iowa and passed away at her home in Moorhead on June 14,1954,at the age of 81 years,5 months, and 9 days.She had not been well since last fall.
She had four brothers,Will,Vern,Charles, and Edward,and two sisters,Anna and Elva,all of whom preceded her in death.
She was married to Herman Lewis on Nov.5,1900,moving to the Moorhead vicinity in 1909 and to the town of Moorhead 1922.
She united with the Methodist Church at Glenwood when 15 years of age and was a long time member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
She leaves to mourn her passing,her husband Herman, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Church, Rev. Joel Boone officiating.Burial was in Spring Valley cemetery under the direction of the Oldham Funeral Home of Soldier.
