Gary Larsen of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of Ute, passed away March 14 in Oklahoma City, Okla., at the age of 72. He was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Iowa to Elmer and Marcella Larsen.

Gary attended Soldier and Ute Consolidated School, graduating from Ute Consolidated School in 1957. After graduation he went to Omaha, Neb., and worked construction, then went to work at General Motors, transferring to GM in Oklahoma City. He retired from there after 31 years. He also served in the National Guard for seven years.

Gary is survived by his wife of 31 years, Catherine; one son, Shawn (Abby) Larsen; one grandson, Parker Larsen; one brother, Gale (Susan) Larsen; one sister, Myrna Gosch; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Royce; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Gosch.

Services were held March 20 at John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, Okla. Interment was at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
