Clarence C. Julian, son of Ralph and Ellen Julian was born on November 2, 1884 at Wellsburg, Iowa and died on Dec. 25, 1970 at a Rock Rapids hospital, having reached the age of 86 years, 1 month and 23 days.

He lived with his parents on a farm. On August 25, 1925 at Ida Grove, Iowa he married Alma Babbe. To this union were born one son. After marriage he lived at Yankton, South Dakota and in 1944 they moved to Sioux City for two years and then moved to a farm east of Danbury where he farmed for two years. He retired from farming and moved into the town of Mapleton. In 1965 Mrs. Julian died. In August of 1970 Clarence moved to Rock Rapids, Iowa and made his home with his sister, Mrs. Ellen Sarff.

He is survived by his son, William Harold Julian of Pipestone, Minnesota; and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Sarff of Rock Rapids, two grandchildren and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Services were held Tuesday, December 29, 1970 at 1:00 p.m. at the Walter Chapel in Mapleton with Rev. Walter Enstrom, officiating. Burial was in Heisler Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Otto, Earl Otto, A. H. Bruning, E. J. LeFebvre Carl Trieber and Walter Rohde.
