UTE, Iowa—Anna Jensen, 96, of Ute died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Ute, with Pastor Mark Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery. Visitation will be today after 2 p.m., with a prayer service by Pastor Ken Baughman at 7 p.m., at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Mrs. Jensen was born May 19, 1902, in Ute, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Jane (Pink) Campbell. She attended country school.

She married C. Dow Strait on Dec. 22, 1920. He died January 1960. She married John Jensen on Feb. 6, 1964. He died in November 1969. She entered the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Iowa, in 1989.

She was a member of the Christian Church, the Legion Auxiliary, the Sunshine Club and Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Lawrence and Ruth Strait, of Battle Creek, Iowa, and Loren and Julie Strait of Charter Oak, Iowa; two daughters and their husbands, Muriel and George Starcevic of Albia, Iowa, and Mary Ann and Ronald Sorenson, of Omaha, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
