MRS. J. W. McADON

Mrs. Sue J. East McAdon, was born in Louisa Co., Iowa, Sept 30, 1846. Came with her parents to Monona Co., Iowa, in 1865. Was married Jan 6th, 1867, at Little Sioux, to J. W. McAdon of that place. To them were born seven children. Her husband, four daughters and one son survive – Mrs. Lill Fox and Dr. L. E. McAdon of San Antonio, Mrs. Pearl McWilliams and Mrs. Lois A. (Dott) Bucher of China, and Mrs. Celia Gallier of Terry, all in Texas. Two daughters are buried in the Little Sioux cemetery – Tacey A. and Mrs. Grant McWilliams. Mrs. McAdon died at her home in San Antonio, Texas, on December 20th, 1914, of acute bronchitis. She was well known here, having raised her family near here. They removed from here several years ago to Louisiana, back here and then again to Louisiana, and later to Texas. She leaves a number of grand children and several great grand children. She was a great worker among the sick while here.
