ONAWA, Iowa -- Colleen E. Myers, 68, of Onawa passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Todd Owen officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Colleen was born Aug. 3, 1941, in Onawa, the daughter of Ralph and Bertha (Shearer) Flint. She was raised in the Blencoe and Little Sioux, Iowa, areas. She later attended Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City.

Colleen and Vernon Myers were united in marriage on Sept. 23, 1970, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple made their home and raised their family in the Onawa area. She was a secretary for Fountain Implement for several years. She later worked at MCI and Elmwood Care Centre.

She was a member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, her dogs and watching her favorite soap operas. Her happiest times were spent having her home filled with family and they will long remember her delicious cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon; two daughters, Rhonda Ferris and Vicki and her husband, Mike Pasch, all of Onawa; eight grandchildren, Dustin Fegenbush (Jessica Weber), Christopher Fegenbush (Kristin Purgett), Bradley, Douglas and Becca Ferris, Andrew and Jared Anderson and Nathan Bonham; five great-grandchildren, Sammy Ferris, David, Dylan, Piper and C.J. Fegenbush; three sisters, Betty Collett of Onawa, Debbie Carrier of Onawa and Shirley Hansen of Le Mars, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Beth; her twin sister, Corrine Harris; and a brother, Rex Flint Sr.
