4 December 2009Paul J. Schumacher, 83, of Mapleton, Iowa died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at a Sioux City Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1926 in Remsen, Iowa.
Services were held Monday, November 23, 2009 at Faith Bible Church in Mapleton with Pastor Kurt Seboe officiating. Message in the music was provided by Denise Masters, pianist.
Pallbearers were his grandsons and nephews, John Rosseter, Daniel Rosseter, Dustin Schumacher, Adam Schumacher, Garret Gluchacki and Dan Castel.
Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Mapleton with military graveside honors provided by the American Legion Loren Hollester Post #496 of Mapleton.
Visitation was Sunday, November 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Armstrong Funeral Home.
