Funeral services for William Merritt Horner, 58, Mapleton farmer, were held Friday, September 8, 1967 at the United Church of Christ at Rodney, Iowa. The Rev. Carl Jensen officiated. Burial was in Grant Cemetery near Rodney under the direction of the Willman funeral Home of Rodney.

Mr. Horner was born June 16, 1909 at Ticonic, Iowa. Mr. Horner was a farmer, residing south of Mapleton. He died Wednesday, September 6, 1967.

Survivors include the widow Evelyn; a son, Raymond of Ute; and two sisters, Mrs. Earl Nolen and Mrs. John O'Linski, both of Riverside, California.
