12 November 1985Onawa, Iowa— Cleo M. Cox, 70, of Onawa was dead on arrival Monday at a hospital in Onawa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa. The Rev. Everett Epperson will officiate. Burial will be in Little Sioux Township Cemetery in Smithland. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Mr. Cox was born May 16, 1915 in rural Hornick. He married Myrna Lines April 8, 1933, in Onawa. They made their home in Onawa where he farmed and was owner and trainer of thoroughbred horses.
Mr. Cox was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Onawa and HBPA.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Clifford of Castana a daughter Mrs. Stan (Lanet) Quy of Omaha, a sister, Mrs. Ethel McCoy of Storm Lake, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
