ONAWA, Iowa -- Marian Romine, 80, of Onawa died suddenly Monday, March 30, 2009, at her residence.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Bethel Cemetery at Bethel, Okla., under the direction of Conley-White Funeral Home at Idabel, Okla. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Jim Willer officiating, at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Marian was born Jan. 13, 1929, at Sioux City, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Ware) Carr. She was raised in the Hornick/Holly Springs area, where she graduated from Holly Springs High School.

Marian and Henry Romine were united in marriage July 1, 1968, and the couple made their home in Redding, Calif. In the mid 80s, they moved to Idabel, Okla., where they made their home until Henry's death Oct. 11, 1991. In 1992, Marian moved to Onawa, Iowa, to be near her family.

Marian was a member of First Baptist Church at Idabel. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, crafts and baking. She had worked at Palmer Candy Company in Sioux City and later for the Coca-Cola Company in Redding.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Adelle and Richard Mack of Oto, Iowa, and Marilyn and Vince Bowser of Victorville, Calif.; three grandchildren, Johnathan Mack of Oto and Monica and Victoria Bowser of Victorville; her twin sister and her husband, Mary and Ray Fauset of New Brunsville, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Millie Carr of Hornick, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Raymond, Merle and Melvin Carr; and a sister, Fern Crichton.
