Mrs. Dora Anderson, 74, Gayville, S.D. passed away in a Yankton, S.D. hospital Saturday, November 20, 1971 following a long illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born at Avoca, Iowa on June 9, 1897, the daughter of Carl and Anna Nielsen.

A registered nurse by vocation, she was employed in a number of hospitals, worked for the government and traveled the world over. In 1956 she was united in marriage to Victor Anderson at Gayville. He passed away in 1962.

Survivors include three brothers, Harry Nielsen of Blencoe; Arthur Nielsen of Omaha, Nebr. And Wilbur Nielsen of Onawa, Iowa; 2 sisters, Mrs. Stella Seitzinger of Blencoe, Iowa and Mrs. Elvin (Evelyn) Hansen of Omaha, Nebr. There are also a number of nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carl Nielsen and one sister, Nella Thompson.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 23, 1971 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Elder Thomas Carritt officiating. Clara Kelly was the organist. Bearers were Edward Seitzinger, Rex Seitzinger, Frank Seitzinger, James Howschultz, Emil Perry and Ernest Vrana. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
