ONAWA, Iowa -- Vicki Strider Bell, 46, of Decatur, Ga., formerly of Onawa, died Saturday, March 22, 2003.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Steven Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Air Force. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Vicki was born May 16, 1956, in Fairfax, Mo., the daughter of Harold and Wilma (Holman) Strider. She graduated from West Monona High School in 1974, and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1975. She served 20 years and retired with the rank of technical sergeant.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew Alford of San Antonio, Texas, and Bradley Alford of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Amanda Alford of Alexandria; two sisters and their husbands, Jean and Scott Kendall of Onawa, and Pam and Chuck Thompson of Ellettsville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
