ONAWA, Iowa -- Alice M. Kron, 87, of Onawa died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with Dr. Emery Killian officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Alice Marie was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Oto, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Celia Faye (Adams) Heck. She moved to Onawa at an early age with her parents and three brothers. She attended Onawa schools.

She was married to Darrel Dwight "Red" Kron on Aug. 6, 1939, in Tabor, Iowa. Darrel passed away Feb. 18, 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Albright; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Kron; five granddaughters and their husbands, Debbie and Allen Carrier, Kelly and Michael Lucht, Laurie and Eric Jorgenson, Kim and John Thies and Kristie and Jeff Parr; four great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; three sisters-in-law, Helen Heck of Soldier, Iowa, Cleo Heck of Whiting, Iowa, and Jane Heck of Onawa; and a special friend, Kaye Shook of Onawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Monte; a son-in-law, Robert Albright; an infant great-grandson, Jared Michael Lucht; and three brothers, Melvin, Paul and Robert.
