UTE, Iowa -- Bea A. Malone, 82, of Ute died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Armstrong Funeral Home, 501 South Day Ave., Ute, with the Rev. Fred Pilecki officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Beatrice A. Malone was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Arion, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Edna (Kroll) Malone. She attended country school at Paradise Township Number 12 and went on to graduate from Ute High School with the class of 1944.

She worked at the Ute Hotel and at the Battery in Sioux City. She also worked as a housekeeper for Chris Gregerson. She made her home in Ute with her brother, Michael Malone.

She was one that truly enjoyed her home with a nice yard and the birds that came to visit. She found peace in maintaining a daily diary of her life and those around her. She was known as a very caring person, always looking out for her brothers and sisters and was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was the kind of caring person that was willing to go all the way to help anyone she could. Her kindness will be deeply missed.

Survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Beverly and Delbert and Barbara and Buddy, all of Ute; three brothers, Delbert and Dorothy of Mapleton, Iowa, Larry and his wife, Myrna of Des Moines and Mike of Ute; and a sister-in-law, Darlene of Earlham, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; aunts and uncles; a special friend, Max J. Maass; and three brothers, Delane, D.L. "Buck" and O.L. "Ollie".
