Mary Lou Burbridge

Mary Lou Burbridge, age 76 of Ute, Iowa, passed away at the Maple Heights Care Center in Mapleton, Iowa on Saturday, January 10, 2004.

Services were held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13 at Christian Church in Ute with burial in Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, Iowa.

Mary was born January 31, 1927 at Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Arthur Larsen and Frances Hamlin Larsen, Mary spent her formative years in Logan, Iowa; graduating from high school in Logan. Before marrying Robert Burbridge she taught in a rural Iowa school. They made their home on a farm south of Council Bluffs and later in Mondamin. Upon the death of Bob she made her home in Ute, Iowa. In Ute she was active in the Christian Church, a member of the Library Board and Senior Center.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, infant son, Todd, brothers, David and Jim Larsen.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Lewis of Mondamin, Iowa, Penny and Steve Barrier of Neola, Iowa, and Eileen and Don Lisle of Ute, Iowa; sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Sue of Naperville, Illinois, Steve and Rhonda of Ute, Iowa and Chuck and Lori of Neola, Iowa 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Frazier of Los Cruses, New Mexico, Lee Atkinson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sue Altermatt and husband, Tom of Genesoa, Illinois; brothers Dick of Santa Cruz, California, Don and wife, Denise of Altoona, Iowa and Art and wife, Sharon of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
