Johnson, Mrs. Jens P. (Kalskett) ~ 1985

Mrs. Jens P. Johnson, a former Moorhead resident, passed away August 23, 1985 at the care center in Belmond, Iowa. She was born at Ute, Iowa to Herman and Louisa Kalskett June 2, 1896. She married Jens P. Johnson January 18, 1924. They lived near Moorhead and were active in the Danish Lutheran Church. Later they moved to Ames, Iowa and then to Belmond, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jens and one son, Ray. Three sons survive, Willard of Rochester, Minn., Earl of North Windom, Maine, and Ronald of Belmond, Iowa, and one daughter, Eloise Scott of Superior, Wis. and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jens P. Johnson were held in Belmond, Iowa on Monday, August 26, 1985. Family members who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorensen of Onawa, Mrs. Florence Kalskett, Mrs. John Moorhead, and Mr. James Kalskett of Moorhead, Mr. Charles Kalskett of Omaha, Neb., and Miss Nel B. Kalskett of Soldier.
