On Monday 24Dec1900 at the residence of W.G. Dorothy occurred the marriage of Miss Josie Dorothy to Charles D. Riley and Miss Minnie Groom to M. Ross Dorothy, Rev. D.L. Norris officiating. To the strains of the wedding march from the organ presided over by Maud Riley, the contracting parties entered at 1 o'clock and took their places in an alcove nicely decorated with sprays of evergreen and holly, where, surrounded by their relatives they accepted the vows that binds them as one for all time, after which Rev. Norris introduced Mr. and Mrs. Dorothy and Mr. and Mrs. Riley to the assembled guests. After a shower of congratulations the company filed into the dining room and partook of a dinner that was perfect in every detail. The presents were numerous and decidedly beautiful and of utility as well and were highly appreciated by the recipients. They are most excellent young people and will remain in this community. Mr. Riley will occupy the old Lloyd farm, while Mr. Dorothy has rented the old Jasper Henry farm.
