February 13, 1919BRAMBLE-RABY WEDDING
On Thursday, Feb. 6th, at 6:30 p.m. at the J. H. Bramble home, the first of the after-the-war weddings occurred, Edwin D. Bramble and Miss Clara Belle Raby of Sioux City were married by Rev. W. S. Handy of St. John’s M.E. church. Only the immediate relatives were present at the time of the ceremony. Quite a number of the friends and neighbors came in later in the evening to wish the happy couple a long and joyous life.
Mr. Bramble is the only one of our Mapleton boys to have won the French war cross. He is home for a short furlough before undergoing an operation on his injured arm. He took this opportunity to make his dreams come true. Mrs. Bramble is a sister of Mrs. Orlando Bramble.
