Former Mapleton Girl Marries at Council Bluffs

Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock Mr. Edward Falk of Oakland IA and Miss Abelena Wiese of this city (Mapleton) were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wiese. The ceremony was performed by Rev. August Lang, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Miss Amanda Wiese, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Mr. William Falk, of Toluca IL, cousin of the groom acted as best man. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Bernie Lehman, a friend of the bride sang a solo and then played the wedding march.
After the congratulations a wedding dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Falk will be at home to their friends after November 15 on their farm near Oakland. Mr. Falk is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Falk.
Four generations were represented as follows: Mrs. C. Jahn 74 years old; Mrs. William Wiese 52 years old; Mrs. F. Rhode 32 years old; and Everett Rhode 3 years old.
Among the guests were Mr. Henry Falk and son of Toluca IL, Mr. Hugo Falk of Silver City, Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Howery of Oakland, Mrs. Minnie Pegelow and her two children of this city (Mapleton), Mrs. C. Jahn of Anthon, Mrs. E.J. Wiese and Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Rhode and son Everett of Mapleton, and Mr. and Mrs. A. Knief of Ipswich SD.
