Jeanette Grell and Walter Aldag Married Recently

Miss Jeanette Grell, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Matt Grell of Mapleton, and Walter Aldag, son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Aldag of Schleswig, were married Wednesday afternoon of last week (26 Feb 1941) in St. John's Lutheran church of Stockholm township near Deloit IA.
Rev. Ferdinand Reith, pastor of the church read the double ring ceremony in the presence of a group of relatives and friends.
She was attended by her two sisters, Miss Edna Grell as maid of honor and Miss Dorothy Grell as bridesmaid.
The groom was attended by his brothers, Louis and Virnes Aldag.
Thirty relatives and friends were entertained at a 6 o'clock dinner in the evening in the home of the bride's parents. A large wedding cake baked by Mrs. Ernest Lehmann and Mrs. Anna Neuman of Denison formed the centerpiece for the bridal table.
Mr. & Mrs. Aldag will make their home on a farm three miles north and two miles east of Schleswig.
