Holman-Burns

One of the most interesting weddings of the 'season' occurred at St. Mary's church on Tuesday morning (27 Apr 1915) at 8 o'clock, when Miss Josephine Burns of Sioux City and Raymond Holman of Mapleton were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Father Wagener, the ring ceremony being used.

Miss Rose Babl acted as bridesmaid and Thos. McKenna as best man. Chas. Burns gave the bride away and Miss Mayme Burns of Sioux City was maid of honor, while little Ruby Uhl, a cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of Mr. & Mrs. James Burns, where a delicious two-course breakfast was served.

The happy couple left on the 10:26 train for a short wedding trip to Omaha and different points in Nebraska, after which they will be at home on the Fred Uhl farm.

Miss Mamie Burns of Sioux City came Sunday morning to attend her sister Josephine's wedding.
