Dorothy Hawthorn and Ralph Peters Married on Sunday

The country home of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Hawthorn near Castana was the scene of a pretty wedding Sunday (16 Feb 1941) at 12:30 o'clock when their daughter, Miss Dorothy E. Hawthorn, became the bride of Ralph Peters of Norfolk NE. Rev. E. Otte, pastor of the Evangelical church here, read the ceremony.

To the strains of Lohengrins "Wedding March", played by Miss Clarice Hawthorn of Sioux City, the bridal party entered the living room, which was decorated with a large bouquet of spring flowers.

The couple were attended by Mrs. Pearl Shearer of Norfolk NE, and Carl Peters, brother of the groom.
A wedding dinner was served after the ceremony. Mrs. H.B. Hawthorn acted as assistant hostess.

Mr. & Mrs. Peters left on a trip to eastern Iowa where they are visiting relatives. they will make their home in Norfolk.

Out-of-town guests attending the wedding included Mr. & Mrs. Russell McCandless and daughter, Cora Mae, of Sloan, and Mr. & Mrs. Guy Clouser of Arlington, NE.
