Miss Sylvia Scheer and Carl Wasmund Married Wednesday

A quiet wedding took place Wednesday (29Jan1941) at 10 o'clock in the home of Rev. August Rueber in Mapleton, when Miss Sylvia Scheer, daughter of Mr.Mrs. Henry Scheer of Anthon, became the bride of Carl Wasmund, son of Mr.Mrs. E.H. Wasmund of Mapleton.
They were attended by Miss Helma Scheer of Anthon, sister of the bride, and Roy Wasmund of Mapleton, brother of the groom.
The bride wore a blue street length dress fashioned on princess lines and carried a bride's bouquet of pink tea roses and lillies of the valley.
Her sister wore a street length dress of deep blue and carried a bouquet of white carnations and ferns.
A wedding supper for immediate friends and relatives of the bridal couple was served in the home of the bride's parents. A large wedding cake decorated with a a miniature bride and groom and baked by the groom's sister, Miss Dorothy Wasmund, was used as the center piece on the bride's table.
The young couple will make their home after March 1 on the Mrs. F.R. wilson farm northeast of Danbury.
The Press extends its best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
