Carl and Edna Anderson, p 92

Carl Anderson was the fifth child born to Andrew and Aggie Johnson at Albaton in 1886. He married Edna Schultz in 1912 and moved to his dad’s place to care for his parents who were ill. He was a trucker and farmer.

After his folks passed away, Carl bought his brother’s interests in the home place and farmed until 1944. He rented the land to his son Lester. That didn’t mean he retired for he took combines south to the harvest fields for several years.

Carl and Edna had 5 children and one adopted child. The children were: Erma (Riner), Leo, Lester, Charles, Mable (Hunter), and Clarence who was adopted.

He was director of the 3 country schools around Albaton: Albaton school, Olson school and the Dahl school for several years. He ran for Supervisor in Monona County but was unsuccessful.

Carl passed away in 1956 at the age of 70 years. His oldest son Leo passed away in 1976 at the age of 57 years.

Edna lives in Whiting in her own home and is in pretty good health. Erma, the oldest child, lives with her. Submitted by Mabel Hunter.
