Charles A. Anderson Family, p 92 -93

Charles and Anna Anderson farmed for many years one mile west of Onawa. They were both born in Sweden and came to the United States in the late eighties. They were married in Sioux City in 1895 Anna died in 1928. Charles remarried in 1941 to Anna Moore of Onawa. He died in 1953. Charles and his first wife had 7 children, namely:

Harold, born in 1897 and died of whooping cough at 5 months. Buried Whiting Cemetery.

Nancy, born in 1899. She married Carl Bjorklund of Chicago in 1924. They have one son, Carl Ronald Bjorklund, born October 2, 1926. He married Dolores Jaske of Chicago. Nancy now lives in Onawa.

Florence, born in 1904. She married Wilbur C. Ordway of Castana in 1933. No children. They now live in Yucaipa, California.

Fred, born in 1907. He married Mary Lyola Peterson in 1934. (She died in 1980.) They have two sons and an adopted daughter, namely:

Fred, Jr. born May 12, 1935. He married Bonnie Jean Bailey of Onawa. They have 4 children: Laura Jo, born March 15, 1959; Meg Marie, born in Seoul, Korea on March 20, 1961; Polly Sue, born April 9, 1961, she married Michael Carlson of Ames; and Jedd David, born in Seoul, Korea July 18, 1962.

Fred, Jr. and Bonnie now live in Ames.

Leo A., born August 21, 1943. He married Cynthia Jo Enright of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. One daughter, Nikki Marie, born Oct. 13, 1981. They now live in Irvine, California.

Linda Mae, born May 8, 1949. She married Fred Lee of Des Moines. They have three children: Paul Fredrick, born December 31, 1970; Scott David, born June 25, 1973; and Todd Patrick, born October 7, 1975. They live in Des Moines.

Fred lives in Onawa and Arizona.

Helen, born 1910. She married Forrest G. Templeton of Onawa. Forrest died in 1951. She married Elbert M. Prichard of Onawa in 1960. Forrest and Helen had two children.

Julia Ann, born September 11, 1941. She married Patrick R. Delanty of Onawa. They have two children: Teresa Rae, born October 29, 1977 and Sarah Ann, born September 22, 1980. They live in Ricketts.

Thomas G., born March 20, 1946. He married Elaine Taylor of Onawa. They have one son, Thomas E., born January 28, 1968. Thomas and Elaine are divorced and he is now married to Christy Collett who has a daughter, Lyse. They live in Onawa.

Helen and Elbert live in Onawa.

Vernon, born September 23, 1912. He married Edna Mae Larson of Onawa. They have two sons:

Charles A., born September 14, 1941. He married Julie Mickelson of Aberdeen, South Dakota. They have 3 children: Jill Murrie, born July 27, 1969; Sara Mae, born June 7, 1972; and Michael Charles, born November 17, 1975. They live in Vermillion, South Dakota.

William A., born June 28, 1951. Not married. Lives in Los Angeles, California.

Vernon and Edna live on a farm near Onawa.

Park, born in 1916. He married June L. Anderson of Onawa in 1940. They have 5 children, namely:

Gary, born June 17, 1941. He married Vicki Smallwood of San Jose, California. They have 2 children: Ry Field, born July 3, 1971 and Reid Dillon, born December 7, 1973. They live in Aptos, California.

Richard, born March 31, 1943. He married Mildred Hudgins of Nashville, Tennessee. They have 2 children: Scott, born May 13, 1970 and Stephanie, born November 29, 1972. They live near Nashville, Tennessee.

Robert, born November 8, 1947. He married Donna D. Parr of Moorhead. They have 2 children: Noel, born February 9, 1974 and Stacie (adopted), born June 13, 1975. They live in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ronald, born July 27, 1951. He married Joanne Murphy of Onawa. They have no children. They live in Castana.

Darla, born May 1, 1962. A student at St. Lukes Medical Center in Sioux City.

Park and June live in Onawa.
