Albert Francis (Bud) Adams was born July 24, 1924 in Monona County, Iowa. His father, Albert Charles Adams, was born in Ostego, N.Y. Jan. 7, 1887 and came to Mondamin, Harrison County, Iowa with his parents as a child. His mother Margaret (Maggie) Lovernia Stansberry was born June 15, 1890 in Harrison County. His sisters were Evalyn Luessa (Heineman), Viola Lovernia (Meeker), brothers Charles and Franklin Lee Nathan Adams.

On Sept. 3, 1946 Albert (Bud) was married to Emma Marie Johnsen at Onawa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lawrence Wilhelm Johnsen (Nov. 3, 1894-Dec. 21, 1972) and Gladys Lulu Miller Johnsen (Feb. 14, 1906-Aug. 26, 1939 – Chicago, Illinois. Emma Marie was born July 29, 1929 in Remsen, Plymouth County, Iowa.

Four children were born to Bud and Emma Marie; William Lee, born December 10, 1947 at Onawa, Iowa. He has one daughter, Melissa Diane born December 29, 1969. He is employed as a boilermaker and lives in Lincoln, Nebr. James LeRoy, born March 30, 1949, Onawa, Iowa. He married Kyoko Nomota in Tokoyo, Japan July, 1970. He is presently attending college in San Jose, California where they reside.

Reva Lynn, born October 6, 1952, Onawa, Iowa, married July 19, 1970 to Dr. Samuel Patrick McClure, they have two sons, Aaron Matthew, born April 2, 1974 and Adam Michael, born November 3, 1979. Reva Lynn is employed by Diamond Vogel Paint Co. Samuel Patrick (Pat) is employed by Unidose as a clinical pharmacist and they reside in Lincoln, Nebr. John Leslie, born March 2, 1960, now lives in Blencoe, Iowa.

Bud was employed by Blencoe Cooperative Elevator for twenty-eight years. For the past eight years he has served as yard foreman for the Berry Lumber Co., Onawa, Iowa. Bud served on the Blencoe Fire Dept. for many years. Emma Marie has served as clerk for the Blencoe Post Office and for West Monona School in the hot lunch program and as a teacher’s aide. She is now office manager for Berry Lumber Co. where she has been eight years.

The Adams family reside in the town of Blencoe, Iowa.
