Mrs. Mary E. Dean, an old time resident of Mitchell, died at the home of a relative in Rock Falls, Iowa, on Saturday, April 8, and was buried the following day. Mrs. Dean was well advanced in years, being 81 years old at the time of her death.

Since the death of her husband some years since she has made her home with relatives in Rock Falls a greater portion of the time. She has many friends and acquaintances in Mitchell and this vicinity who enjoyed her acquaintance during life.

Mrs Dean was a relative of our townsman, Mr. Chas. Morse, who assisted with other relatives in making the elderly Mrs. Dean's declining years as bright as their efforts would insure.
