Miss Emma Borchardt, 86, died Wednesday at her home in Osage, Iowa.

She is survived by two sisters, Miss Minnie Borchardt, Miss Mary Borchardt, Osage; two brothers, Carl of Osage and Emil of Grafton, Iowa. Funeral services were held this afternoon at Osage.

Funeral Held For Emma Borchardt, 86

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage for Emma Borchardt, 86, who died at her home last Wednesday as the result of stroke and complications.

The Rev. Obert Hoven and the Rev. R. M. Christensen, associate pastors of the church were in charge of the services and burial was at Calvary cemetery south of Osage.

Emma Bertha Borchardt was born on October 4, 1875, in Worth county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Borchardt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church south of Osage, and received her education in the rural schools of the area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William and one sister, Lena.

Surviving are two brothers, Carl of Osage, and Emil of Grafton, two sisters, Minnie and Mary with whom she had lived for many years, and nieces and nephews.
