August Borchardt Died
Saturday at Advanced
Age, of 85

August Borchardt died at his home on North Seventh street Saturday, from the usual infirmities of old age. He was born Dec. 24, 1848, consequently lacked just one day of attaining his 86th birthday.

Mr. Borchardt farmed in Worth county for many years, but on retiring moved to Osage and his son Carl, is now operating the home place. His wife passed away some years ago, and the four daughters, Emma, Lena, Minnie and Mary, have been with him. There are also three sons, Emil, William and Carl, all of Worth county.

Funeral services were held Monday at the home at 12:30 and at the German Lutheran church west of Mitchell at 1:30 conducted by the Rev. Kumpf.
