Dorothy E. Janzow, 71, St. Ansgar, died Thursday, July 23, 1998 at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage

Funeral services will be Monday, July 27, 1998 at 10:30 .m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar with the Rev. Edward Schmidt officiating

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar with Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

Dorothy Eleanor (Tiemann) Janzow was born May 22, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri. At an early age she was adopted by Pauline and Theodore Tiemann of Juniata, Nebraska. After completing high school in Brighton, Colorado, she attended and graduated from the Highland School of Nursing in Oakland, California as a registered nurse. She worked at the Oake Knoll Navy Hospital in Oakland and also for Dr. Winslow in his private practice

Dorothy married Art Janzow on December 30, 1953 and three children were born to this union

She was involoved in many church activities as well as those in the community. She enjoyed many hours socializing with friends and playing bridge. Dorothy's special joy were her four grandchildren

Mrs. Janzow was preceded in death by her parents

She is survived by her husband, Art; daughters, Judy Bader and her husband, Patrick of Calabasas, California; Jeanne Houchins and her husband, Michael of Spencer; one son, Ted Janzow and his wife, Denise of Rochester, Minnesota; and four grandchildren; Teddy Bader, Mitchell Houchins and Lauren and Steven Janzow
